IoT Security Provider Armis Debuts First Partner Program

By 2021, up to 90% of connected devices will be unmanaged and IoT devices.

Armis, an enterprise IoT security provider, on Wednesday rolled out its first formal partner program for resellers.

The Armis Reseller Channel (ARC) program enhances partner opportunities and incentives, captures new revenue streams and drives tighter collaboration. It offers partners new routes to accelerated profitability with greater flexibility through joint go-to-market activities.

Peter Doggart is Armis‘ vice president of business development and global channels. He said the IoT security provider’s goal is to accelerate the adoption of smart connected devices, and help customers deploy and operate them safely.

“But we can’t do this alone,” he said. “Given the sheer volume of devices already connected (roughly 25 billion) and the pace of growth, we are looking to power our next phase of growth through partnership. That’s why today we’re announcing our new ARC program.”

What Partners Need to Succeed

Armis’ program offers support according to two tiers, gold and platinum. Based on level, this includes training, road map briefings and joint marketing. It also offers business development funds, website presence and priority support escalation.

“We wanted to focus on the key items that actually mattered to our partners,” Doggart said. “Trust and transparency were key points raised, as well as keeping the program simple.”

By 2021, up to 90% of connected devices will be unmanaged and IoT devices, according to Armis. And they can’t be protected in the same manner as traditional devices. That makes them targets for malicious exploitation.

The company’s agentless device security platform provides real-time and continuous asset inventory, risk management, and detection and response.

“Armis is a very innovative company and technology, and complements many of the security technologies that our partners already sell and our customers already use, such as configuration management database (CMDB), security information and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) and firewalls.” Doggart said. “Armis fills a growing critical role in security for almost every industry. Eighty-to-ninety percent of all devices now in a given customer are non-traditional, i.e., they are not observed/discovered and therefore not protected. Armis solves that, allowing partners to offer comprehensive security to 100% of the devices. Given Armis is also the leader in this industry and extremely well funded, partners can trust to build a relationship over the long haul, so return on investment will be high.”
