Ingram Micro Unveils New ‘Elite’ Healthcare Partner Network
Vertical markets are hot right now, and likely none are hotter than the ever-booming healthcare vertical. Ingram Micro wants to take advantage of those opportunities and extend them to its partners. Enter: The Ingram Micro Healthcare Partner Network. VARs and MSPs looking to build on this vertical should read on …
According to Ingram Micro, this is the “first and only dedicated network” to hit the distribution scene specifically “specialized” to enable VARs and MSPs on healthcare IT (although let’s not forget Avnet’s HealthPath SolutionPath). Built on the Ingram Micro Services Network, partners working within this new partner network will essentially have one-stop-shop access to a conglomeration of all the healthcare-related products, services, marketing and support tools needed to deploy everything from hospital infrastructure to small practice offices. Partners within the network also will be able to communicate with other partners, building a community of healthcare-focused partners discussing best practices. Ingram Micro also sees this as a way for healthcare vendors to find traction in the channel, since product portfolios will be more readily available for partners to discover.
But before you get too excited, not everyone gets to jump on board the Healthcare Partner Network. Ingram has labeled this partner network as “elite” and only “qualified” partners who are “experienced” with the healthcare vertical can join up. If you’re already part of Ingram Micro’s Solution Network, you can have your membership fee waived, but if you’re merely “qualified” you’ll end up shelling out $300 a year for the vertical-oriented program.
Depending on a VAR’s or MSP’s situation, it’s not necessarily an expensive fee, but it’s clear Ingram doesn’t just want any old VAR jumping on board. However, healthcare VARs who are qualified and inducted into the new network could advertise their “elite” relationship with Ingram, helping build on the trusted adviser status channel partners embody.
