Ingram Micro Debuts Preferred App Dev Network for Partners
Ingram Micro (IM) is expanding its professional services offerings with the launch of the Ingram Micro Preferred App Development Network, a program aimed at helping North American partners develop their own custom applications.
According to Ingram Micro, the program will allow partners to directly utilize its specialized services network without the need to invest time and effort to integrate technology solutions themselves.
With the Preferred App Development Network, partners will be able to access resources, solutions and platforms from fellow network providers, simultaneously allowing resellers to expand their services portfolio and generate new revenue streams, according to the release announcing the offering.
The network is supported by Ingram Micro Professional Services and the company’s Ingram Micro Link partner network.
“Our new Preferred App Dev Network empowers channel partners to expand their value-added service capabilities by leveraging a proven team of expert engineers that are trained and specialize in custom development, migration and integration services,” said Greg Richey, director of Professional and Training Services at Ingram Micro, in a statement. “Designed to complement, not compete with our channel partners, the Ingram Micro Preferred App Dev Network offers IT service providers access to an expanded portfolio of lifecycle services and engineering talent that will help them provide greater value to their customers while at the same time increasing business productivity and improving the bottom line.”
Straight from the press release, Ingram Micro said partners will also have benefits including:
- Access to vetted, reputable network providers enrolled as Ingram Micro Link Preferred Service Providers
- Ability to explore new verticals through qualified application development services not currently part of the company portfolio
- Simplified invoicing by utilizing established payment terms with Ingram Micro
The Preferred App Dev Network is available now for Ingram channel partners in North America. The distributor did not mention whether the program will be available to its global network of channel partners.
