D-Link made the changes to its program based on feedback from partners, which include the following:
- VIP level requirements
- Volume Incentive Rebate (VIR) Program
- Enhanced deal registration program for front-end discounts
D-Link also has implemented new VIP levels to help differentiate and ensure “users are confident” their D-Link partners can deliver what they promise. The levels are Registered, Silver and Gold, respectively, each with its own level of training. Gold-level partners also are eligible for the D-Link Partner Council.
Along with the new partner tier, the VIP Partner Program now includes technology specifications to help partners differentiate themselves and brand themselves with specific competencies. Right now, D-Link is offering Storage Preferred and IP Surveillance Preferred specializations, along with a GovEd discount program for discounts related to government or education.
