CHANNEL PARTNERS CONFERENCE & EXPO, LAS VEGAS — Nord Security (a signature CP Expo sponsor) has a new MSP program for its suite of products, namely NordLayer and NordPass. The company launched its U.S.-based partner program last summer; then, it amplified its approach this year to have a direct and dedicated presence within the MSP community.

Most importantly, the new direction includes new product features that will enable MSPs to directly sell to and support customers. Moreover, this means the integration of MSP operations directly with the backend of Nord Security’s products for easier management and opportunity workflow.

NordLayer introduced the program at this week’s Channel Partners Conference & Expo and co-located MSP Summit in Las Vegas.

The company has already announced partnerships with several providers, including Ingram Micro and its CloudBlue division. It also has a new-to-market launch with Pax8. The idea is to combine an intuitive, self-service sales model with an integral focus on ease of use. This makes it possible to untangle the complexity inherent in traditional, point-solution cybersecurity services.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

MSP Program Products

The company’s products that are part of the MSP program include:

  • NordLayer. NordLayer is an ISO-certified adaptive network-access security solution. This solution helps transition businesses to SASE, implement zero trust, and leave outdated legacy solutions behind. NordLayer focuses on securing data from the device to the destination. Many cybersecurity companies focus on the endpoint, but Nord Security says NordLayer focuses on the journey. The journey to/from the cloud, applications, site-to-site, etc., is encompassed here. This is done through a single gateway without the need for multiple solutions or products.

  • NordPass. NordPass is a password manager with solid encryption, multifactor authentication and a zero knowledge architecture. This solution shifts to proactive breach management with the native data breach scanner within the security dashboard. The tool gives detailed security insights, reveals breached domains, and allows you to assess your team’s password strength. So the intuitive user interface facilitates smooth and swift onboarding procedures. And, the enhanced cybersecurity vastly improves one’s chances of securing cyber insurance.

Nord Security’s David Nuti

“NordVPN is a consumer product, and then NordLayer, NordPass and NordLocker are the business solutions underneath Nord security as the umbrella company. So it’s been really taking all that experience, knowledge and automation on cloud-native platforms and pointing them in the direction of these business solutions. So it’s a very, very natural fit for us to go that way. We’ve never been a company with a big robust direct sales team, so this makes sense for us,” said David Nuti, SVP, North America, Nord Security.
