Channel Partners: US Signal Offers Virtual Ethernet
US Signal (Booth 1221) is rolling out Virtual Ethernet Service to connect customer locations over the companys resilient, fully protected Ethernet backbone.
Virtual Ethernet Service uses Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) technology over an MPLS network to provide Ethernet to multiple sites over longer distances with higher reliability than traditional data transport options.
The service will be available to throughout its Midwest footprint, including customer sites, data centers and central offices. It will offer options for accessing Virtual Ethernet Service over copper loops, fiber and partner metropolitan Ethernet networks.
Our philosophy is that Ethernet services should be available to any location, with or without fiber access, including outside of the larger metropolitan areas, said Dan Olrich, vice president of operations and engineering. US Signal is bringing advanced services even to the most remote locations of a customers network.
