Zetta.net Cloud-based Backup and DR for MSPs
In our latest FastChat video (above), Zetta.net Director of Channels Art Ledbetter describes how the enterprise-class backup and disaster recovery service provider supports MSPs and channel partners. The effort includes a zero cost of entry approach for managed services providers (MSPs), who can deploy the service without any initial financial investment.
On the recurring revenue front, Ledbetter says “business is good” for Zetta and its MSPs. “One of the most critical factors of building a recurring revenue stream is retaining customers — and retaining them for a long time.” Zetta’s retention rate hovers somewhere around 99 percent, he adds. “Customers are customized with Zetta’s cloud and local backup and DR service. It’s enterprise-grade in terms of deployment, security, reliability and availability.”
In terms of signing up for the partner program, Ledbetter says just visit Zetta.net and click on the partner page, complete and submit the form. Ledbetter and his team will be in touch — “treating partners like they’re partners from the very first conversation.” During the early conversations, Ledbetter says his team will help partners to determine if the offering is the right technical and business solution for the MSP and its customers. From there, the MSP can trial the solution.
More than 90 percent of the world’s top 501 MSPs offer some form of cloud-based BDR (backup and disaster recovery), according to the seventh-annual MSPmentor 501 report (final results coming Feb. 27, 2014). However, many of those services are designed with small businesses in mind, and some don’t scale to the midmarket and enterprise sectors.
Zetta, meanwhile, has been partnering across the small, midsize and large enterprise markets. True believers include SHI International Corp., one of North America’s top 20 IT solution providers. SHI in January 2014 disclosed plans to offer Zetta.net’s enterprise-grade cloud backup and disaster recovery (DR) service to end-customers.
