Integrated technology provider Syntel (SYNT) today unveiled a new Managed Services Organization (MSO) for its mission critical offerings.

Syntel currently provides infrastructure management solutions (IMS) that are designed to eliminate gaps in IT support.

The company said these solutions include:

  • Application monitoring support

  • Application restoration services

  • Preventative maintenance services

  • Root cause analysis

  • Service desk and user support

Syntel noted MSO will “leverage industrialization, automation and cloud migration to drive greater efficiency through integrated delivery of application and infrastructure services.”

Nitin Rakesh, Syntel’s CEO, commented on MSO in a prepared statement:

“Organizations are driving new sources of value from existing technology investments and moving to ‘as-a-service’ models. MSO will deliver a new paradigm of innovation for mission critical services to Syntel clients.”

The company announced IT industry veteran Ram Singampalli will lead MSO.

Singampalli has over 20 years of experience with Syntel and has held several client-facing, delivery and corporate leadership roles with the company.

Syntel earned $219.5 million in revenue during the first quarter of 2014, and MSO could help the company boost its profits going forward.

MarketsandMarkets predicted in a December 2013 study the managed services market would grow over the next few years and could be worth $256 billion by 2018.
