SunGard Availability Services has created the SunGard Managed Recovery Program to help secure the availability of both cloud and on-premise applications. The goal of the Managed Recovery Program is to manage the entire application recovery lifecycle for SunGard customers.
The program includes:
- definition and maintenance of recovery plans, procedures and recovery infrastructure configurations;
- execution of recovery;
- recovery management during network disasters; and
- detailed post-test reports that include full review of test activities, gap analysis, recommendations for security improvements remediation plans, program status reporting, contract maintenance and updates.
Make no mistake: SunGard is still heavily focused on the cloud. It assigned four executives earlier this year specifically to accelerate its managed services and cloud initiatives, and expanded its data center in Philadelphia, Pa., in order to meet the increase in customer cloud demand.
