Cloud hosting and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider SingleHop has signed a channel partnership with Telecom Brokerage, one of the nation’s largest telecommunications master agents. Telecom Brokerage (TBI to its friends) bills itself as a “one-stop source for unbiased industry advice and the most aggressive pricing on telecom services from major providers of voice, internet, data, mobility, cloud and managed services.”

Through TBI, SingleHop will gain access to an entire network of sales agent partners, which TBI noted are able to simplify quoting while earning high commissions. TBI currently represents more than 50 industry providers.

“As one of the largest and most successful master agents in the country, TBI understands that cloud IaaS offerings are a natural next step and complimentary offering to their agents’ strong network infrastructure sales,” said Mark Mercado, vice president of Channel Sales at SingleHop, in a prepared statement. “TBI partners have some of the best solution selling skills in the industry. It is not about trying to sell cloud or any particular service. It is about understanding what a customer is looking to accomplish with their business and realizing that the network and cloud are integral in making that happen. SingleHop is committed to helping TBI partners provide a holistic solution, thus delivering more value and deeper relationships with their customers.”

Forging a partnership with such a brokerage to ensure greater distribution and partner engagement seems like a good move for SingleHop. It’s not an exclusive deal, though. SingleHop is spreading out and working toward building a business with a variety of telecommunications brokerage firms, including AVANT Communications and TeleProviders. TBI is simply the latest firm SingleHop has signed an agreement with.

Agents and VARs connected to TBI will have the opportunity to sell SingleHop IaaS offerings.

“Our agents want to better understand how to position and sell cloud, and we are convinced that the SingleHop channel team is one of the strongest in the industry and truly understands the partner community,” said Ken Mercer Sr., vice president of TBI, in a prepared statement.
