ScienceLogic IT Platform Includes Video Management for Enterprise, MSPs

ScienceLogic, the IT services software developer for managed services providers (MSPs), has added video management capabilities to its IT service platform. ScienceLogic's goal? To offer the most comprehensive enterprise-class IT management system through which its managed services partners can manage multiple video conferencing environments at once for its enterprise business end-users.

The solution also allows for endpoint management, hosted and remote infrastructure management, and deployment of managed video services for enterprises still searching for right solution.

ScienceLogic has automated its new managed video capabilities to address what the company has identified as the main challenges around video management services: strain on IT departments, visibility, managed video integration, multi-tenancy, and especially mixed vendor environment. To that end, ScienceLogic's managed video service includes for Cisco TelePresence, Polycom and LifeSize. The ScienceLogic managed video conferencing solution is available immediately and costs $150 per device license.

When ScienceLogic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Antonio Piraino joined ScienceLogic in October 2011, Piraino said he would focus on automation and management -- two aspect of the company that show up in this latest managed video announcement. Basically, ScienceLogic is trying to make it as easy as possible for its enterprise and government sector customers to incorporate video into their businesses.
