SaaS Security Specialist Webroot Reaches Out To MSPs
Security-as-a-service provider Webroot is expanding its partner program from VARs and resellers to an area that its traditional channel partners are embracing more and more. Managed services. The company has announced that with its 8th generation platform it has signed a 4-year global agreement with Australia-based telco and MSP Anittel. Here are the details.
The deal calls for Annitel to use Webroot SecureAnywhere Business – EndPoint Protection. The companies said the deal will enable Annitel to more effectively deliver and manage its customers’ endpoint security from the cloud while lowering overhead costs, increasing productivity and maximizing recurring revenue.
Webroot’s solution ensures that antivirus is up to date without negatively impacting network performance because of its lightweight client that doesn’t require multiple virus definition downloads each day, Jeff Santelices, Webroot VP of Sales, told MSPmentor.
“Many of our traditional resellers have really begun to notice that it’s hard to continue selling one offs and start over every quarter,” he told me. “We’ve seen many of these VARs transition into subscription-based services providers.” One of those is Annitel,

In a prepared statement “We expect that the deployment of this will save significant amounts of our staff's time and lead our customers to have a much better managed antivirus experience than our previous solution.”
