OmniBill ASP from Profitec Offers Control, Flexibility

Profitec Billing Services Inc. (Booth 815), a Wallingford, Conn.-based communications billing service bureau, has introduced OmniBill ASP. This licensed product offering is designed specifically for the larger communications provider that wants better control and flexibility of its billing system while incurring a relatively fixed billing expense.

Profitec typically offers a minimal upfront expense and pay-as-you-go pricing plan for a comprehensive offering. Its newest option offers a fixed billing license fee in exchange for a long-term commitment. Customers pay a specific fee regardless of the volume of billing they generate. Printing is a variable which is invoiced to the customer at Profitecs low in-house printing prices.

There are many large prospects for whom billing costs represent a sizable expense item, said Randy Minervino, vice president of sales and marketing. Having a license arrangement and a long-term commitment will allow Profitec and its customers to work together in a much more partner-oriented relationship. I believe that our service offering is unique in the industry. For most customers licensing a billing system and fixing their billing expenses means taking on the responsibility, headache and heavy-lifting of performing billing production and quality control. OmniBill ASP combines client-dedicated hardware and software applications with Profitecprovided expertise and production manpower.

Profitecs newest offering enables customers to concentrate on implementing billing for expanded product offerings while increasing their margins through reduced billing overhead and increased production efficiency.

In addition to continuing to provide billing production and quality control services, Profitec also avoids the other problem encountered by customers who attempt to fix their billing expenses. Many users of customer-driven billing solutions found that as their businesses grew, scalability of the in-house system became a concern.

Accommodating customer growth and maintaining adequate customer dedicated resources continues to be a Profitec responsibility. As customers businesses grow, Profitecs resources committed to that customer scale accordingly, stated Ian Secord, director of billing operations. Customers can feel confident that their billing system is being hosted in a secure, modern data processing facility with completely redundant resources, and a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. Our entire facility is backed up by gas-driven generators operating on city-provided gas services. Our facility and our resources have been evaluated by many companies and we have passed data security reviews by many security-conscience customers who have executed data security agreements.
