NovaStor Launches NovaBACKUP 13 with Universal Restore

NovaStor, a software solutions company for data protection and availability, has announced the availability of the new version of its NovaBACKUP software for protecting workstations, servers, and virtual machines running under Hyper-V and VMware. New features include universal restore, access to individual files and folders within an image, as well as options which broaden backup flexibility.

NovaBACKUP version 13 provides full, incremental and differential backup for file storage and imaging. NovaBACKUP 13 also provides comprehensive imaging features for the development of customized backup strategies.

System Restore Updates
But NovaStor’s most notable new feature may just be its universal restore function. According to NovaStor, this feature makes system restore convenient and users will benefit from a boot environment based on original Microsoft technology, Windows PE, for the restoration of a system, instead of supplied based technologies, which may not always be current.

Is the company still looking at extending support beyond Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware to also include Mac? Still unknown, but MSPmentor will watch for details to surface.

NovaStor says its partner program seeks to build and support long-term, solid business relationships that are mutually beneficial. More  information on the program is available here.
