Netsocket Launches Cloud-managed Virtual Network for MSPs
Software-defined networking provider Netsocket this week launched a new cloud-managed virtual network solution to help managed services providers (MSPs) with managing customer networks.
Netsocket Virtual Edge solution was designed with MSPs in mind and provides a cloud-managed virtual network for their distributed small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) and enterprise remote office customers, the company said.
Netsocket Virtual Edge Product Management Director Dave Corley told MSPmentor that "Virtual Edge allows MSPs to efficiently and cost effectively deliver managed edge routing and other services to these distributed environments."
The solution also creates a value proposition for MSPs "through the rapid introduction of a new, profitable managed routing service," Corley said.
"Netsocket's Virtual Edge solution allows an MSP to offer a managed routing service without a data center capital expenditure," he said. "Further, the automation and orchestration of lifecycle workflows by Netsocket's vNetCommander cloud management application allows as much as a 10-to-1 opex savings over traditional edge network devices."
Netsocket has a Netsocket Virtual Partner (NVP) program for MSPs that provides marketing, sales, training and technical support.
Netsocket is looking to partner with MSPs that are "delivering or contemplating delivery of managed routing, managed voice, managed and other managed services to distributed SMBs and enterprises," Corley said.
"These include the full breadth of cloud service providers, telecom service providers, systems integrators and value-added resellers offering professional and managed services today," he added.
Netsocket's Virtual Edge solution is now available to MSPs and will be exhibited in March at MSPWorld in Orlando, Fla.
