Net Optics Launches Spyke Network and Application Monitoring

Net Optics, which makes network monitoring technology, has released Spyke — a new network and applications monitoring platform. Net Optics has a reseller program but we’re curious to see if the company makes a more formalized effort to engage managed services providers.

NetOptics claims Spyke addresses key problems that SMBs and enterprises are facing. Spyke offers Net Optics’ SMB customers an affordable way to integrate performance management and intelligent access across a network. The combination of the two, according to Net Optics, will give SMBs a complete network monitoring software solution through which they can control all of their critical applications.

Enterprises, on the other hand, tend to already have IT monitoring software in place. So rather than use Spyke as their main service, Net Optics enterprise business customers can integrate Spyke into their existing solutions in order to fill any holes they have in their application and network security systems, the company claims.

Overall, Spyke is designed to help both types of Net Optics customers in three key areas:

  1. Comprehensive network visibility

  2. Application Visibility

  3. Real-time Monitoring

The Net Optics development is no surprise to MSPmentor or its customer base. The company acquired TripleLayer and nMetrics back in late January specifically to focus on developing a more comprehensive network monitoring and analysis solution for its customers.
