Azaleos Corp., one of the fastest growing companies on the MSPmentor 100 list, has announced that it has exceeded the million seats under management milestone through aggressive investments in research and development and new services. Growth was also boosted by several big enterprise deals in the first half of the year for the company’s Exchange, SharePoint and Lync services. New customers include the largest hospital in the country as well as a global telecom equipment manufacturer. Here are the details.

Azaleos CEO Phil Van Etten attributes the company’s success to filling a large and growing unmet need among security conscious enterprises — combining IT managed services with a private cloud delivery model.  Specifically, the company’s ability to build a secure hybrid model that integrates existing on-premise applications and processes with a private cloud infrastructure has served as a key selling point for large enterprises.

Etten also believes that Azaleos’ deep expertise with Microsoft’s unified communications and collaboration platforms has played a big part in winning deals against competing providers. Azaleos is an official Microsoft TAP (technology adoption partner) for Exchange and SharePoint and has been testing the new server 2013 wave releases since late last year.

Azaleos recently introduced a cloud-based mobile device management  (MDM) service, powered by AirWatch, which enables enterprises to centrally secure and control their mobile devices including employee-owned smartphones and tablets.
