Take a look at the mobile security management (MSM) market today and find a possibile profit opportunity for managed services providers (MSPs), awaiting to be snagged up.

According to a ABI Research, the current MSM market will hit a total of $560 million by the end of 2013 — and that's globally — but why the sudden increase?

The report revealed a demand in security because of the increase in demand for mobile device management (MDM), which also evolves into application and content management. As these management needs increase, the want for protection around corporate assests increases.

"While MDM will continue to provide the largest share of revenues, growth rates from other sectors, and, in particular, security and content management, will increasingly account for a much larger portion of the market," said ABI Research Cyber Security Senior Analyst Michela Menting in a prepared statement.

The report added that enterprise mobility management (EMM) vendors can leverage this opportunity, too. Security, eventually, will become a basic requirement for all EMM solutions, if it hasn't already, and successful differentiation will demand a long-term sustainable strategy, adding that this may be seen through a number of different channels.

MSPs with offerings that can incorporate all of these qualities may come out ahead in the market: management leads to security and security leads to profit on the table.
