Microsoft's Case Against Ex-Cloud Leader Heats Up

matt-miszewski.jpgThere are some new developments in Microsoft’s lawsuit to keep former public cloud sales specialist Matt Miszewski (pictured) from joining Salesforce.com. When Miszewski resigned, Microsoft alleges, he took no less than 25,000 pages of classified sales strategies, marketing materials, and other top-secret documents with him. That’s a problem because Miszewski is seeking to hold a similar position at Salesforce.com.

First, as always, a TalkinCloud tip of the hat to SYS-CON Media, whose Maureen O’Gara had the scoop. Apparently, last week Microsoft made their claims to the same Washington State Supreme Court that granted a restraining order against Miszewski’s assumption of the senior VP, Global Public Sector role at Salesforce.com.

Microsoft claims Miszewski is in violation of both professional ethics codes and a non-compete agreement he signed, and Microsoft is seeking to block him from joining  Salesforce.com. All that said, TalkinCloud.com will stick to the old “innocent until proven guilty” motto. We’ll be watching the case closely.
