MDM Integration Made Easier: Codeproof Releases API

Software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud hosted mobile security, and MDM platform provider Codeproof Technologies, Inc. has released a new API to assist managed service providers (MSPs) and value added resellers (VARs) with the integration of MDM (mobile device management) into their service offerings. Here are the details.

The company is offering Codeproof Technologies MDM API, a SOAP-based WebService API, which acquires mobile device information, restriction policies and application information from the registered mobile devices, and then triggers actions. Potential actions include remote data-wipe, remote device lock, app-install and push notifications.

“In order to make mobile device management over the cloud easier and extensible, Codeproof goes one step further and provides API to it’s partners,” said Codeproof Technologies Founder & CEO Satish Shetty in a statement. “By using Codeproof MDM API, third party software companies can integrate their solutions with Codeproof’s mobile device management platform.”

The company’s latest API, SDK Version 1.0, offers the following to MSPs and VARs:

  • Device information,

  • Installed applications information,

  • Running applications information,

  • Enforced iOS restriction policy information,

  • Installed iOS config profile information,

  • Action triggers for remote wipe, remote lock, push notifications, and app install.

A few weeks ago, Codeproof Technologies announced a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) security and cloud mobile device management (MDM) platform for mobile devices. Codeproof focuses primarily on mobile endpoint security and cloud MDM platform.
