Strong partnerships and alliances with leading technology companies that are recognized as leaders in their respective fields can help you expand your business and meet the needs of your customers. Here are some ways that these can help your company grow.

Strong partnerships and alliances with leading technology companies that are recognized as leaders in their respective fields can help you expand your business and meet the needs of your customers. These relationships are mutually beneficial – your partners want you to be successful so that you will sell more of their product and you want to leverage their expertise, market presence and account base.

Here are the benefits derived from strong relationships.

  1. Expand your expertise and services – Partnering with technology and software leaders enables you to deliver a variety of solutions to meet your customers’ business needs and helps you to broaden your core service offerings. Through partnerships, you are able to gain expertise and insight to enhance your offerings without having to hire a team of experts.
  2. Provide niche solutions – Some vertical markets have specific applications or technologies that are only applicable to that market segment. Partnering with a specialist helps you offer a complete solution in these markets. It helps you to become the one-stop partner for all of your customers’ IT needs.
  3. Gain more market share – Partnering with technology and application leaders enables you to offer a more complete set of comprehensive solutions to your target market. You can now bring in your partners resources into potential deals as well as be asked by your partner to participate in deals.
  4. Marketing Development Funds (MDF) – Leverage joint marketing. Partners will contribute financial and marketing resources to expand brand awareness. MDF enables you to leverage your marketing campaign and expand your marketing dollars. Typically funds are allocated based on performance and programs need to be pre-approved before the funds are released. Some vendors will give you access to marketing resources or events that you wouldn’t normally have access.
  5. Gain Awareness – Join your partner’s customer reference program. Vendors are always looking for their customers to validate their solutions. Sometimes they will work with you to write case studies or create videos to highlight your company or ask you to be interviewed by a member of the press. This helps the vendor validate their solutions and helps you raise your awareness in the industry.
