ITL Selects UDP for Billing Services

International Telcom Ltd. (ITL), a competitive LEC, has chosen UDP (Booth 625) to provide its access and interconnection billing services.

According to Mike Tyler, vice president of local exchange and regulatory affairs, ITL chose UDP because of its reputation in the industry for accuracy and great customer service.

When we decided to change billing companies, I asked several of the large carriers that we bill on a monthly basis, Which billing company produces invoices you can easily understand, and therefore get paid faster? UDP was the answer.

UDP President Claud Gilmer said he was very pleased that his company continues to earn a good, solid reputation for consistency and personal service in a highly technical, multifaceted environment, said UDP.

We constantly work on making our OSS and billing solutions a valued service. We look ahead to determine what advanced technology and software our customers will need tomorrow, said Gilmer. We truly view our customers as partners. The kind of sophisticated and detailed service we offer requires a real commitment on our part its continual development, continual maintenance, and continual support. Exceptional customer service is paramount, he emphasized.

ITLs Tyler said he was impressed with the UDP staffs in-depth knowledge of the CABS billing rules and the comprehensive functionality of the billing platforms available to them. He concluded, UDP has a phenomenal online system that enables us to upload access records, an intelligent accounts receivable system for tracking payments, and a powerful archiving system for retrieving old invoices and reports. We also liked the cost savings in invoice distribution to carriers that accept invoices in electronic format. The carriers get them the same day they are produced and we save money on postage. We see lots of benefits here. Were looking forward to a long, successful partnership with UDP.
