The HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Commercial Business has put the tech giant in a prime position to accelerate growth and market leadership. That’s according to Antonio Neri, president and CEO, HPE.

“We have fantastic momentum and have grown our as-a-service business into a market-leading position to bring the modern cloud experience to our customers where they need it,” Neri wrote in a new blog.. “Today, among our top 100 HPE customers, nearly 80% have already adopted the HPE GreenLake platform, which enables more than 120,000 users, powers more than 2 million connected devices, and manages more than one exabyte of data. Customers receive industry-leading operational support and managed services experiences, resulting in a 96% customer retention rate.”

Accelerated Transformation

Neri added that as the company accelerated its transformation to bring the HPE GreenLake vision to life, it also created the HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Commercial Business. Moreover, he mentions EVP and GreenLake General Manager Keith White, who joined the company nearly three years ago. White’s role was and is to build this capability. He is also building out a customer-centric strategy for HPE GreenLake. This would ultimately change how HPE takes solutions to market.

Back in March, HPE announced that its GreenLake partner ecosystem was expanding. The company’s flagship offering enables organizations to modernize all of their applications and data, from edge to cloud. This aims to make HPE’s hybrid cloud platform stronger with a unified operating experience. It also includes new cloud services, and the availability of HPE GreenLake in several distributors’ online marketplaces.

According to Neri, this has transformed HPE’s go-to-market approach to address their customers’ priorities. These are across cloud, data and edge.

Accelerated Growth

“The success of the HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Commercial Business has put us in a prime position to further accelerate our growth and build upon our leadership,” said Neri. “As a result, we are now fully integrating the organization into the core operations of the company. Doing so will enable us to integrate the deep subject-matter expertise and capabilities into our core teams as the HPE GreenLake platform continues to be the center of HPE’s strategy.”

What was once a standalone business at HPE, is now fully ingrained, according to Neri. The team will now move into their aligned areas. This is across global sales, global operations, HPE Pointnext Technology Services, and GreenLake cloud services.

“I am incredibly proud that we have taken important actions to transform HPE,” Neri concluded. “Our evolution to a platform-based model is delivering results for our customers. The potential for HPE GreenLake is just beginning. I look forward to continued success as we work with our customers and partners around the globe to drive insights and deliver business outcomes.”
