Greater Intell Introduces giDocs Content Management Solution

Some of the minds behind the creation of the Kaseya remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform have come out with a new integrated document and content management solution aimed at managed services customers.

Greater Intell has partnered with cloud-based file management solutions provider InfoPreserve to launch an integrated document and content management solution that managed service providers (MSPs) can offer to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The new release, giDocs, “enables a new approach for document and content management for the MSP and IT management markets,” according to Greater Intell. It allows organizations to secure and control their documents and content, the company said, and access these materials from any device.

So where does Kaseya come in? Greater Intell’s CEO Kirk Feathers is an ex-Kaseya senior technology analyst, and its Chief Technology Officer Corey Mandell is Kaseya’s former executive vice president of development.

And Greater Intell’s previous work has focused on providing integration services to vendors of third party software tools to make them work with the  Kaseya RMM platform. For instance, one of the projects integrated Piriform’s CCleaner tool into the Kaseya platform.

So it’s not a surprise that the company’s giDocs system is launching with Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) integration right out of the box. The integration with the IT management platform  “offers greater efficiencies and security,” the company said.

giDocs’ features include:

  • Full lifecycle management for documents and content

  • Secure file sharing via integration with organizational directory systems

  • The ability to search for content in email attachments, legacy systems and numerous media types

“Our MSP customers, especially those that serve SMBs, have told us that email with attachments (and the content in those attachments), documents stored on various cloud services and other content have created a major challenge to find and intelligently manage all the content in a typical businessperson’s activity. giDocs has been released in order to address this challenge,” a Greater Intell spokesperson told MSPmentor.

Greater Intell said this integration allows MSPs and IT departments “to remotely install and manage across thousands of customers and many locations,” and as a result, could help them become more productive.

Don LeClair, Kaseya’s executive vice president of product management, also pointed out that giDocs represents Greater Intell’s fifth integration with Kaseya.
