Over the next six months, eSentire will expand its EMEA operations, adding to its local team of 40 by hiring 20 additional team members across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Benelux and Nordics, Southern Europe and DACH regions.

Morgan has held leadership roles with Pulse Secure, Eseye and Digital Defense.

Uncovering new Business Opportunities

“eSentire is making significant investments in the U.K., Ireland and throughout the EMEA region to support our current and growing EMEA-based partners, which include MSPs, resellers and security consultants,” he said.

eSentire is adding resources for its Ireland-based SOC, Layton said. It’s also hiring partner managers, threat intelligence researchers and sales executives.

“Just as we have done in North America, we will help our partners uncover new business opportunities and while doing so, we will give partners the ability to up-level their own employees’ security knowledge through security training,” Layton said.

In addition, eSentire is launching other partner enablement programs, he said.

“We are going to help our partners grow their business,” Layton said. “And they can be assured that with our security services, their customers’ critical data and applications will be protected.”

Partners will have the ability to include security in every solution they put forward, he said. They’ll protect their customers from business disruption, reputation loss and lost revenues.

Two of eSentire’s EMEA-based partners are Softcat and Tier 1 Limited.

No EMEA Newcomer

Many companies “dip their toe in the water” trying to achieve sales out of the U.K. and EMEA, Layton said.

“However, eSentire is not dipping our toe into EMEA,” he said. “We have been protecting businesses’ critical assets in EMEA for the past 10 years and have had a SOC based in Ireland for the past six years.”

eSentire partners with the top ISVs in the industry, including CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Sumo Logic and Tenable, Layton said.

“[Partners] will have the industry’s best security services available to offer to their customers,” he said. “We have built our award-wining security solutions so that they’re easy to implement and can scale when needed so partners can protect all size customers, no matter if they are an SME or large enterprises.”

According to a recent study by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), there were more than 300 significant, malicious attacks against critical sectors in Europe in 2020. That’s more than double the 146 recorded the year prior.

The agency also reported a 47% rise in attacks on hospitals and health care systems in the same period. Criminal networks sought to cash in on the pandemic’s most vital services.
