Eccentex Launches AppBase 5.0 with Advanced Tools, AppTemplates

Eccentex is rolling out version 5.0 of its AppBase PaaS software. The company, which specializes in PaaS applications for dynamic case management (DCM), launched cloud-based AppBase 5.0 platform with advanced creation tools and AppTemplates to make it quicker for business analysts to delivery case management systems.

The PaaS software is designed to give the business analyst a high-level, cloud-based platform “that allows for quick assembly of case management applications with less coding.” For developers, the widgets and wizards included in AppBase 5.0 were designed to make it easy to visually create the applications using three AppTemplates—Incident, Investigation and Service Request. The templates are built on top of the platform and have been designed to be customizable.

The purpose of the software is to speed up the development of case management applications with supported structure, unstructured and unpredictable processes, according to Eccentex.

“Our goal was to maintain the reliability of the AppBase product, deliver a high-level platform that allows knowledge workers to fully view and resolve cases quickly, and enables the line of business person to manage the application easily to meet companies’ process needs,” said Alex Stein, chief strategy officer and founder of Eccentex, in a prepared statement.

Additionally, new advanced tools in AppBase 5.0 include a new business process designer, a new page builder, a new rule generator and a new page filter.

“We wanted to develop a cloud-based platform that empowers the knowledge worker to get their job done effectively and efficiently, but also allows the business analyst to make the updates necessary to deliver a simple solution for business people that benefits customers,” said Glen Schrank, CEO of Eccentex, in a prepared statement.

Although available now to customers, AppBase 5.0 isn’t yet available to third-party developers. But that launch is coming soon. As part of the company’s go-to-market strategy, it will work with developers so they can develop and implement customized DCM applications in a production environment. Eccentex did not provide an availability date for third-party developers.
