Tech Data (TECD) partners now have access to EarthLink (ELNK)’s suite of managed cloud and support services through a new partnership.

The Clearwater, Florida-based technology distributor on Monday said it will offer EarthLink’s TechCare support service and the EarthLink Cloud Workspace desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution under its TDCloud division. Both services are available immediately to Tech Data partners.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Earthlink ranked first on the MSPmentor Top 501 list for 2014. In June the company hired longtime executive Peter Chronis to a newly created role: chief security officer. Chronis previously served as EarthLink’s vice president of information security and management.

“Adding EarthLink to the TDCloud portfolio gives solution providers access to services that manage end-to-end IT support, communications and virtualization,” Tech Data TD Cloud Product Marketing Vice President Stacy Nethercoat told MSPmentor.

TDCloud is powered by Tech Data’s StreamOne global IT platform, an automated buying, selling, provisioning and billing system for cloud and subscription-based services technology that scales business and operational scope.

“As cloud computing continues to be a strategic focus for Tech Data, we are investing in the future by dedicating leadership and resources to our cloud business,” she said. “Solidifying our commitment to growth in the cloud, we have added new dedicated TDCloud sales, reseller enablement, field marketing and operations resources, as well as a new organizational structure.”

Nethercoat added: “We are also highly focused on finding the right education tools for readiness and enabling solution providers to discover the best pathway for success. As cloud adoption accelerates, we are prepared to provide the most comprehensive cloud solutions in the IT channel.”

Tech Data will be holding its Fall Channel Link conference on September 22-24 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. The semiannual event is expected to attract more than 400 channel partners.
