Datapipe Adds Ex-Intralinks CSO as CTO
Datapipe has added a hybrid IT and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions veteran to its team. The Jersey City, New Jersey-based managed service provider (MSP) has hired John Landy as its chief technology officer (CTO).
“Datapipe is growing both geographically as well as within the enterprise segment,” a Datapipe spokesperson told MSPmentor. “John brings to the table the experience and innovative way of thinking that will help the company continue down this path and further establish itself as the global provider of managed hybrid IT solutions for enterprise businesses.”
Datapipe noted the Landy hire is “the result of continued growth and refinement of [the] executive team.”
Landy previously served as chief security officer (CSO) and CTO at content management and collaboration solutions provider Intralinks and is expected to lead Datapipe’s technology strategy.
“John comes to Datapipe with a deep knowledge and understanding of cloud technologies and the customer benefits of transformative IT,” Datapipe CEO Robb Allen said in a prepared statement. “We’re excited to have John on board and we are already leveraging his expertise and experience as we continue to enhance our solutions to meet the evolving demands of our enterprise clients.”
What are Landy’s responsibilities as Datapipe’s CTO?
Datapipe said Landy will focus on three technology strategy and development components as the company’s CTO:
- Enhancing technology strategy — Landy is expected to lead Datapipe’s hybrid IT solutions expansion.
- Expanding technology partnerships — Datapipe said it anticipates Landy will help the company strengthen its partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS), EMC (EMC), Equinix (EQIX) and Microsoft (MSFT) and find new partners too.
- Extending innovation — Landy is expected to help Datapipe further enhance its integrated cloud management portal.
“I look forward to leading the continued enhancements to [Datapipe’s] technology strategy and development efforts, further advancing Datapipe’s leadership as the cloud industry advances,” Landy added.
Landy, meanwhile, represents one of several additions for Datapipe since the start of the year.
Datapipe also has appointed Ed O’Hara as its chief financial officer (CFO) and Craig Sowell as its senior vice president of global marketing in 2014.
