Data center provider DataBank has launched a new suite of services that include managed services that the company will offer to its enterprise customers. DataBank also partners with companies including telcos and systems integrators via an incentive program. Here are the details.

Data Center Provider DataBank Launches Managed Services Offering

The managed services provider market has become a more crowded over the last few years with new competitors breaking in from several other markets from telcos to copier companies to audio-visual specialists. And of course there are also technology vendors offering their services direct via cloud. Now a new competitor is coming into the market — data center operators.

Case in point: DataBank Ltd, a Dallas-based custom data center and colocation provider, laste last month announced a new suite of services that include managed services and security services. Here are the details.

The company said the new service will include an expansion of data collection and monitoring with the addition of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management), IT stack monitoring tools and security solutions for Threat Management, Log Management, Scanning, and DDoS Mitigation.

“DataBank delivers the very highest-level infrastructure and environments in the markets we serve, and layering in these new services was a logical extension to our portfolio,” said Mike Gentry, DataBank VP of Operations, in a prepared statement. “We are responding to customer demand and have moved forward with a number of best-in-class service partners to aid in the delivery of one-stop solution capabilities to enhance our end-user experience.”

The company has also reached out to other technology providers on a partner basis. DataBank offers an incentive-based partner program and works with telecom agents, real estate brokers and system integrators the company said. “With DataBank you can easily expand your product portfolio to include our highly-secure and reliable colocation and custom data center space offerings. Your customers will benefit greatly from premium facility infrastructure, first-class environments, unrivaled carrier fiber access, and knowledgeable staff providing unmatched responsive support,” the company states on its partner page.

DataBank said its primary market is data center services aimed at enterprise customers.
