ConnectWise and Reflexion Networks have formalized a deeper partnership. ConnectWise partners will now be able to offer Reflexion’s cloud-based email security, archiving, encryption and e-discovery solutions to their end customers. The ConnectWise-Reflexion partnership arrives amid a rapidly changing email security landscape, where MSPs increasingly manage more and more capabilities from a single dashboard.

Indeed, Google recently announced Postini (the company’s email security system) will gradually merge into Google Apps, essentially ending the stand-alone Postini service. Reflexion, meanwhile, has continued to diversify its email security platform amid hyper-growth — promoting its cloud-based email security service to MSPs, VARs and channel partners. Rumors of potential funding to drive even faster growth have surrounded the company in recent months.

The ConnectWise-Reflexion relationship, meanwhile, is about product integration and attractive pricing to the ConnectWise partner base. According to a joint statement from ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini (pictured, left) and Reflexion CEO David Hughes (right):

“ConnectWise partners will be able to license Reflexion’s products at attractive monthly pricing in an agreement that simplifies the procurement process by reducing the number of vendors they have to deal with, while simultaneously allowing higher margins to be achieved when reselling products. This partnership with Reflexion includes cloud-based security and compliance solutions, which are being made available to the ConnectWise community via the companies’ expanded partnership.”

Reflexion’s reporting tool also integrates with ConnectWise’s business management platform.

Generally speaking, Reflexion competes with Spam Soap (a close McAfee partner), Exchange Defender, Maildistiller (which is expanding from Europe) and Postini. Many of those services started out as pure spam filtering solutions. But over time, as Office 365 and Google Apps gain basic email security foundations, Reflexion and other rival services have been pushing multiple new capabilities. Encryption and e-discovery — to meet corporate compliance mandates — have been particularly popular.

Reflexion has worked in and around the ConnectWise partner base for several years. The company also has a relationship with CharTec, the MSP training and HaaS (hardware as a service) specialist, in which ConnectWise Capital invested a few years ago.
