Cloupia Adds FlexPod Integration, Creates Partner Program

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Cloupia is making plans to start shipping its CloudGenie iPad application for remote data center management soon. But while we wait, Cloupia has been busy with a few other things. Here’s the scoop:

For starters, Cloupia now integrates with NetApp’s FlexPod, a data center management solution that integrates network components into a single, scalable environment. Cloupia has built the Cloupia Unified Infrastructure Controller (CUIC) that gives partners and customers open automation access to reports, analytics, workflows, triggers and chargeback and data acquisition data, said VP of Products and Marketing Bhaskar Krishnamsetty. Cloupia’s CUIC also delivers policy-driven provisioning and provides a single pane of glass to manage NetApp storage plug-ins, Cisco’s UCS Manager and NetApp DataONTAP OnCommand, plus others.

Cloupia also created the Cloupia Open Cloud Automation Partner Program, to help its service provider partners leverage the Cloupia CUIC in the enterprise and data center. Currently there are 10 members of the Cloupia Open Cloud Automation Partner Program, Krishnamsetty said, and Cloupia will provide the partners with evaluation software, SDKs, documentation and training needed to make minor customizations, integrate with other enterprise systems and add more infrastructure connectors and management features.

Cloupia’s integrated and unified platform provides huge cost savings for end users when compared to other products, he said, and the CloudGenie iPad app will only add more flexibility to that integrated platform. We’ll let you know when CloudGenie is widely available, and we’ll continue to keep tabs on Cloupia.
