CloudHealth Technologies today launched a new version of its CloudHealth platform that is designed to help managed service providers (MSPs), systems integrators (SIs) and value-added resellers (VARs) manage multiple customer accounts through a single console.

The Boston-based cloud analytics and infrastructure company said the CloudHealth platform gives service providers a single view of an entire cloud ecosystem, allowing them to align their cloud operations with business objectives, reduce costs and manage performance to meet service levels.

“Traditional MSP platforms don’t necessarily understand the elasticity of the cloud,” CloudHealth CEO Dan Phillips told MSPmentor. “We offer a cloud analytics platform that understands IT service management, and our platform is very much designed with MSPs in mind.”

Phillips name may sound familiar to old timers in the managed services market. He was the CEO of SilverBack, the MSP platform software company acquired by Dell in 2007.

What CloudHealth does

CloudHealth said the new release allows service providers to:

  • Automate production and delivery of customer statements

  • Deliver value-added cloud services for monitoring, management and reporting

  • Manage customers and multiple accounts through a single console

  • Optimize margins through aggregated usage for volume discounts

“MSPs, VARs and SIs have been providing managed services to end customers with on-premise IT infrastructure for many years,” Phillips said in a prepared statement. “However, the complexity of managing a cloud environment has created a great opportunity for MSPs, along with the need for a cloud management platform that provides one console to manage many customers with multiple services and delivers policy management at scale. That’s what CloudHealth does.”

CloudHealth announces Cloud Business Accelerator program for MSPs

CloudHealth also announced a Cloud Business Accelerator program “to help people get into the MSP business and help them build, deploy, market and sell services,” Phillips said.

Service providers can participate in the program to learn about the CloudHealth platform, determine which managed services to offer and receive MSP sales training.

Phillips added MSPs can use the program to access multiple training templates and offer white-labeled managed services.

CloudHealth, meanwhile, closed a $4.5 million Series A funding round with .406 Ventures and Sigma Prime Ventures in March and continues to target steady growth in both the cloud and managed services markets.

“We’re the first to offer IT service management for the cloud, but we don’t expect to be the last to offer it,” Phillips said. “And we always want to be the best.”
