CloudAG today announced it will leverage AvePoint Online Services to deliver new Microsoft (MSFT) Office 365 managed services.

Cloud-based business and collaboration applications provider CloudAG today announced it will leverage AvePoint Online Services to deliver new Microsoft (MSFT) Office 365 managed services.

AvePoint provides a Windows Azure-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) management platform for Office 365 and will help CloudAG customers “backup, restore and manage their Microsoft cloud-based solutions.”

CloudAG said its ServicePoint365 SaaS is designed to help businesses maximize the collaboration and content management capabilities of Office 365 SharePoint Online.

Businesses now will be able to leverage CloudAG’s managed services for administration, backup and recovery of Microsoft cloud services such as Azure and Office 365, according to the company.

“CloudAG’s managed services for Office 365 enable organizations to confidently take advantage of the financial and operational benefits of moving to Microsoft’s cloud solutions while still being able to incorporate extended backup, recovery and administration consistent with their on-premises systems,” CloudAG CEO David Huseonica said in a prepared statement. “We combine the benefits of moving to the cloud with the peace-of-mind that you’re still in control.”

Andrew Norris, vice president of AvePoint’s North American partner team/public sector client services department, also commented on the announcement:

“With this partnership, businesses are getting the best of both worlds – AvePoint’s best-in-class cloud solutions paired with Cloud|AG’s proven expertise – in order to expand usage and adoption of Microsoft cloud technologies.”

AvePoint today supports 13,000 organizations worldwide and 1 million Office 365 production users.
