Cisco Cloud Builders Partner Program Adds INX as Member

If TalkinCloud took the time out to discuss the chatter every time a cloud service provider joined up with a major vendor, we’d never have time to do anything else. But when networking specialist INX announces it’s officially a member of the month-old Cisco Cloud Builders partner program, it’s time to check in on Cisco’s cloud partner play.

INX said the Cisco Cloud Builder designation “recognizes INX’s competencies to sell and implement Cisco network-centric, end-to-end cloud solutions for end-customers and/or cloud providers,” according to the press release. In other words, Cisco has officially recognized INX’s expertise with its infrastructure (security, networking, compute, storage and virtualization), management applications and cloud services.

As a refresher, Cisco Cloud Builders is the management and services focused tier of the networking titan’s Cloud Partner Program. Cisco also certifies Cloud Services Resellers, which sell OEM versions of Cisco cloud services, and Cisco Cloud Providers, which meet Cisco auditing requirements and offer the company’s cloud products directly. This deal appears to make INX the lucky 13th cloud partner to enroll in the program.

Finally, on a positive note for INX, Cisco has promised never to compete with partners when it comes to the cloud.

We’ll be watching Cisco closely for more updates on its cloud partner momentum going forward, so stay tuned to TalkinCloud.
