Cloud-based file sharing and document management giant Dropbox officially announced its partnership today with CharTec, a move that MSPmentor confirmed back in August 2013.

Cloud-based file sharing and document management giant Dropbox officially announced its partnership today with CharTec, a company that promotes hardware as a service and managed services provider (MSP) sales training, a move that MSPmentor confirmed back in August 2013.

According to both companies, the CharTec, Dropbox partnership will provide discounts for Dropbox for Business and recurring revenue for CharTec partners that join the Dropbox Partner Network.

“We are consistently looking for the best products in the market to offer to our clients and our partners. Dropbox for Business offers an awesome solution for desktop backup, allowing people access to their files anytime, anywhere, on any device,” said CharTec CEO Alex Rogers in his prepared remarks. “We are really looking forward to bringing Dropbox to our Partners through this relationship.”

Dropbox Head of Channel Partnerships Adam Nelson said in his prepared remarks that the Dropbox Partner Network was designed to assist partners with growing their businesses, an innitiative shared with CharTec.

“CharTec has impressed us with the way they leverage industry best practices to help the service provider community, and we’re pleased to offer their training as a resource for our partners,” he said.

File sharing services and partner programs have been swarming around the channel for the past few months. Companies like Anchor, Egnyte HybridCloudLogMeIn Cubby, and Novell Filr have also been making moves.
