Autotask Community Live 2013 U.S., Europe Locations Confirmed
Autotask Community Live, the company's partner and customer conference, is going international. In addition to the U.S. event (June 2-4, Scottsdale, Ariz.), the company will also host a sister conference in Barcelona Spain (Oct. 16-18, 2013). The decision to launch a European event, rumored for about a year, reinforces Autotask's vision to internationalize and localize its SaaS-based business management platform.
Autotask spent most of 2011 and 2012 making sure its SaaS platform ran well for MSPs (managed services providers) and IT services providers across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. The localization directive arrived after CEO Mark Cattini succeeded Bob Godgart in December 2010. Cattini also worked to make sure Autotask's cloud software ran on all the major Web browsers. Autotask was originally Microsoft- and Internet Explorer-centric.
In Europe, Autotask has worked with a range of distributors and partners — including GFI Software, promoter of the GFI Max managed services software platform. GFI Max has been in growth mode and is ramping up for a potential IPO (initial public offering).
Over the past two years or so, Autotask's core market (professional services automation or PSA) has evolved quite a bit. While Autotask focuses on an international SaaS push, ConnectWise has been focused on both cloud and on-premises while promoting the MyOfficeBundle to partners, and Tigerpaw Software has been extending beyond its on-premises heritage into the cloud.
Autotask Community Live is one of The VAR Guy's Top 100 Channel Partner Conferences to track in 2013.
