Annese & Associates inc., a $54 million VAR, is the latest IT service provider to deploy Zyrion’s Traverse software to monitor customers’ networks, servers and applications. Annese focuses on designing, installing and maintaining integrated voice, video and data systems for schools, government agencies and commercial businesses throughout the New York and New England areas. The company has been in business since 1970, but it recently developed a managed services offering called ARMS (Annese Remote Managed Services).  That’s where Zyrion’s Traverse software platform comes in.

The main goal of ARMS is to monitor and quickly fix network issues before customers experience any service disruptions. Traverse is an IT monitoring and Business Service Management (BSM) software solution that Zyrion claims is designed for complex IT environments. Annese, meanwhile, is one of Cisco’s top commercial partners in New York State and across New England. Annese emphasizes sales to K-12, higher education, state and local government and healthcare customers.

“Remote monitoring capabilities, broad IT infrastructure coverage and ease of adding new devices were key requirements that Annese was looking for in a new monitoring solution,” Zyrion Founder and CEO Vikas Aggarwal said in a prepared statement. “Our Traverse platform met these needs and more, and we are confident that Traverse will help Annese assure the performance of the IT infrastructure of its customers and deliver exceptional services.”

Meanwhile, Zyrion has made multiple moves in recent months. The company in mid-2011 gave channel partners the green light to expand the Traverse offering to SMBs and larger enterprises in their sales regions. The move came three months after Zyrion made a deeper push into cloud infrastructure monitoring.
