Accucode, a hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) provider, today unveiled InDemand Technologies for managed services. InDemand enables distributors, independent software vendors (ISVs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and value-added resellers (VARs) to offer managed services to their end customers.

InDemand partners will be able to provide their customers with help desk support, remote device management and other managed services. In addition, InDemand’s services can be purchased on a monthly subscription basis or bundled into custom packages.

“At the end of the day, we just want companies to get the most out of their IT investments. That’s really what it’s all about,” said InDemand President A.J. Love, in a press release.

Accucode uses a HaaS model to manage tablets, software and other technologies at fixed rates. Kevin Price, Accucode’s founder and CEO, said that he believes InDemand enables his company to provide businesses with a better way to manage and maintain their automatic identification and data capture, barcode, mobile computing, point of sale and wireless networking equipment.

“We’ve seen seminal changes in the market around hardware-as-a-service, and these changes are ushering in burgeoning demand for the services [we provide],” Price said in a statement.

HaaS allows customers to pay monthly hardware fees for managed services and get product updates periodically. Several managed service providers (MSPs) already have mastered HaaS, and information technology distributor Ingram Micro last July unveiled a HaaS platform that consisted of nine solutions from HP and Lenovo.
