Vista’s Problems Explained In Four Simple Windows
The cartoon above pretty much summarizes how badly Microsoft's marketing team botched the positioning of Windows Vista. As The VAR Guy has stated, there are 10 Reasons Why Windows Vista hasn't been a hit. Reason Number 1: Too many versions of Vista.

The last time I saw that cartoon the recommendation was Ubuntu.
David: The VAR Guy is typing this reply from his Ubuntu PC, in tribute to you.
VAR Guy: tracyanne is typing this on her Mandriva Linux PC to tell you that Mandriva is a far, far better choice.
Tracyanne: The VAR Guy promises to test Mandriva later this month. But for the moment, his top priority is sleep. Back on 9/12 with more from The VAR Guy.
That’s it? Only nine versions of Vista? http://distrowatch.com/search.php?category=Allamp;origin=Allamp;basedon=Allamp;desktop=Allamp;architecture=Allamp;status=Active
@Felipe, That’s it! Only Vista versions from Microsoft. Did you know another company that build Windows Vista SKUs? Not, only Microsoft. On the other hand, there are many Linux distros because there are many individuals and companies supporting it. I mean, actually from Mandriva you get Mandriva Linux Server and 2008 Spring Edition (only 2 or 3), from Novell you get Suse Linux enterprise and OpenSuse (only 2 or 3), from Red Hat you get RetHat Linux entreprise and Fedora (only 2 or 3), from Canonical you get Ubuntu Server and Desktop and Ubuntu remix (only 2 or 3), and so on. Not 10, 11 or whatever SKUs from a sigle Linux distro supplier.
Yes, Mandriva that is.
Though I despise Vista, use Linux, but have both, I despise the “too many versions argument.” As noted, it applies to Linux x100. If a market is interesting or important, it is worth researching every option you can, especially now the net makes it easy. As a guitarist, I’m familiar with probably 50,000 guitar market products, and can’t wait to test out and have an opinion of every new one added– at least if is of good quality.
Ha ha .. That was quite
Ha ha .. That was quite hilarious and yeah, I would have suggested the same. Vista was a real blunder and total failure from Microsoft. Windows XP was much better than vista in all manners. After all these updates, vista couldn’t make a fine mark in the market. potty training
