Telecom Efficient Rebrands to Reflect Expanded Industry Focus

Telecom Efficient, a national master agent and IT consulting firm, has rebranded as TekEfficient to reflect the company’s growth beyond its roots as a telecom service provider.

TekEfficient said the new moniker better aligns with its portfolio, which now includes cloud computing, software, hardware, backup and disaster recovery, in addition to telecom services such as network, Internet and voice.

“We started in telecom, but our mission has always been to make the lives of IT executives easier,” said Patrick Etheridge, founder and president of TekEfficient, in a statement. “Today, we are a full-service technology company with more than 1,000 different portfolio services and a partner program with 100-plus master agents, VARs, and IT services providers.”

TekEfficient will also offer new business technology bundles designed for its small and midsized business customers. Each bundle is meant to reduce the time IT executives spend on technology by combining common elements into one package, according to the announcement. Customers can order bundles based on the number of employees and capacity they need.

Specific bundles range from $99 to $1,099 per month depending on included components. Additional bundles are planned for release later this year, including equipment and hardware and IT services bundles, according to the company.

Telecom Efficient launched in 2004 as a traditional telecom master agent. However, the business model for long distance phone service and the other solutions that composed the bread and butter of many master agents’ businesses have since dried up, forcing them to diversify their portfolios to stay competitive.
