Sage North America (SGE) has appointed industry veteran Donald Deshaies as its latest vice president of Channel management.

“Sage has a rich heritage in working closely with partners as well as a focus on customer experience, and I’m very excited to be a part of that,” said Deshaies in a prepared statement. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with the Sage ecosystem to evolve the Sage business and, particularly, to work in ERP and CRM—areas about which I am very passionate, especially with the transformation to services and the accessibility that mobile solutions offer.”

According to the press release, Deshaies will be responsible for continuing the organization’s growth strategy to strengthen the Sage channel, working with partners to create lasting innovation through its product portfolio and programs. Deshaies comes from a long career within the channel managing businesses and teams focused on international alliances, channel strategy, management, operations and project management. He also has a wide range of management experience, from tech startups to large companies.

“Donald will be a tremendous asset to our team,” said Joe Langner, executive vice president and general manager of Mid-Market Solutions for Sage in the press release. “Donald’s breadth of experience in senior management roles at companies that range from startups to early-stage companies to multinationals demonstrates his deep understanding of businesses and the challenges they face. I am confident about the potential that Donald brings to our team and the new opportunities that he’ll soon introduce to Sage partners.”

Deshaies’ appointment marks the third new channel chief appointment this week, after Veeam and Unify both announced their plans for new management. Coincidentally, all three companies specialize in providing SMB organizations with mobile management solutions.
