Open-Xchange and MESH Partner To Resell SaaS Email in Europe
European infrastructure company MESH plans to offer Open-Xchange SaaS email and collaboration to its channel partners. Under the deal, MESH VARs would be able to white-label cloud messaging solutions for customers. This is the latest in a growing list of SaaS partners working with Open-Xchange. Here are some details.
The idea, according to an Open-Xchange spokesperson, is to give MESH’s resellers the chance to add messaging to their portfolio with no infrastructure investment. MESH offers service level agreements (SLAs) and data security, protecting partners and customers against downtime and data loss, reducing danger in deploying Open-Xchange’s technology, the company’s say.
The VAR Guy should have seen this move coming. The Dusseldorf-based MESH was a big exhibitor and speaker at the recent Open-Xchange Partner Summit in Cologne, Germany.
Open-Xchange has spent most of 2010 lining up SaaS relationships with a range of hosting partners, ISPs and VARs. Rather than building a hosted email system on its own, Open-Xchange is directing SaaS and cloud computing opportunities to partners. Open-Xchange positions itself as an open source alternative to Microsoft Exchange.
