New Penton Professional Education Offering Teaches Partners to Raise Capital
Penton Technology's Channel Group, which manages The VAR Guy, MSPmentor, Talkin' Cloud and The WHIR, has announced a new professional development offering designed to help partners finance business growth. "Navigating the Captial Raise Pathway in a Complex IT Landscape" will address the abundance of capital available and why a company needs to be adequately prepared in order to secure a successful financing raise.
Presented in two segments on Tuesday, February 28, the course aims to teach partners:
- The different types of financing available and the option most suitable for the stage of growth of your company
- How to pitch your company to outside investors
- What types of company attributes are investors looking for in an investment
- How to use your investors post-investment to make your company successful
A recent survey of Penton Tech Channel sites readers found that 72% of MSPs, solution providers and hosting companies are likely to raise capital in 2017 for their companies. Taught by Theresa Caragol and Anjali Jolly, the course will dispel the myths and lay out the facts around what, when, why, and how to build for a successful capital raising plan and strategy.
Jolly, founder and CEO of DuMonde Management, is a seasoned financial investor with more than 15 years of private equity investing experience. She has invested over $1 billion of equity and debt capital. Jolly is a former Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee of Perseus, L.L.C., a $1.6 billion middle market private equity firm.
With more than 20 years’ experience in building and managing multi-million dollar indirect channel teams and strategic alliance business and programs from inception to sales success, Caragol is founder and CEO of Theresa Caragol Consulting, LLC. She has co-led the development of an Industry Think Tank of senior Channel thought leaders and practitioners across the IT industry.
In addition to the technical sessions, the instructors will be available for a live question and answer segment following each session. Regularly $299, early registrants will receive a 20 percent discount.
