Isilon Launches Storage Support Partner Program
Isilon, a specialist in scale-out storage solutions, has announced two new partner programs: one designed to give VARs the opportunity to provide customers with low-level support, and another to help customers implement and deploy their products. Here’s the scoop.
The VAR Guy covered Isilon and its Preferred Partner Program in depth here. The new so-called Partner Enabled Programs — the Partner Enabled Support Program and the Partner Enabled Implementation Program, properly — are designed to help partners generate new revenue streams, according to the company’s press release.
The Partner Enabled Support Program gives qualified VARs Isilon’s blessing (and tools, training, and infrastructure) to provide Level One and Two support to customers. As an added bonus, those VARs will also have access to special escalation queues when a problem requires Isilon’s direct involvement.
Meanwhile, the Partner Enabled Implementation Program lets partners offer deployment and configuration services. Isilon’s press release indicates the company sees potential for partners to combine the two programs and sell customers packaged support and configuration services.
Sell businesses the product, and then tell them you’ll set it up and stay on the phone with them if it goes wrong – for a fee. Makes sense to The VAR Guy.
