Ingram Micro, HP Partner on Healthcare Solutions Portfolio
The fast-paced and ever-advancing healthcare industry poses a series of pain points for resellers, including a high cost of entry and dealing with physicians, who often make far better doctors than they do business partners. To help its many channel partners navigate those healthcare pain points (no pun intended), Ingram Micro is expanding its solutions portfolio to include a new suite of software bundles based on HP technology.
The solution bundles pair HP hardware, such as HP Workstations and the Slate 2, with select healthcare-specific software applications from independent providers within the HP Healthcare Alliance program, including visual systems specialist Canvys, medical data storage manager Medweb and web-based senior care provider Parental Health.
Canvys and Parental Health are available now to Ingram Micro channel partners in the United States, while the Medweb solution soon will be available for purchase through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. The distributor will handle the integration, delivery and support of HP-based healthcare solutions, serving a market that no longer is just a hardware world, as company vice president of public sector and vertical markets Mike Humke noted.
“How do we arm our partners with solutions where they can go in and educate a physician on how to better run their practice, instead of just selling them a laptop?” he said. “This program is designed to help them get out of the hardware business and into a place where they can build collaborative healthcare solutions.”
