HP Expands Converged Cloud Portfolio with Services, Training
Announced at HP Discover 2012, held June 4-7 in Las Vegas, the new offerings include the “cloud bursting” capabilities of HP CloudSystem, cloud printing solutions and two new cloud certifications through its HP ExpertONE training and certification program — the HP Accredited Technical Professional for the cloud administrator and the HP Accredited Solution Expert for the cloud integrator.
In addition, the company’s Application Performance Management 9.2 for Converged Cloud has been expanded with enhancements to Diagnostics, Real User Monitor and SiteScope, which help organizations manage across converged cloud environments, improve the performance management of cloud and mobile applications and improve collaborate between development and operations teams.
HP’s ePrint Enterprise 2.0 mobile print solution, available for Android, iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry mobile devices, includes integration with three additional pull-printing solutions, localization in 10 languages and visitor printing capabilities.
On the channel side of things, HP bolstered its solutions and partner programs for communications managed service providers delivering cloud services to their business customers with new versions of HP CloudSystem Service Provider and new members of the HP CloudAgile Service Provider Program.
The avalanche of cloud-based products and services make it pretty clear that HP, even amid a management shakeup, is staking its future fortunes to the cloud, and the company’s focus on training and partner services suggest a strong interest not only in providing their own cloud services, but also in helping HP partners better position themselves to offer solutions to a growing number of businesses that are headed to the cloud.
