Distribution Watch: Westcon, Securematics, Tech Data
Good day, and welcome to the latest edition of Distribution Watch, our weekly collection of happenings in disty land. This week’s lineup includes Westcon Group, Securematics and Tech Data, so let’s get to it.
Westcon Group: F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) has tapped Westcon as its first global distribution partner. Together, the two companies plan to offer global programs for traditional partners, managed service providers and global cloud providers.
Westcon has been distributing F5’s technologies in the Americas, EMEA and in parts of Asia Pacific, and this new agreement enables Westcon to distribute F5 solutions in many new countries as well as deepens the companies’ strategic relationship, according to the companies. Additionally, the agreement ensures a comprehensive sales engagement process for F5’s channel and better addresses global needs with new programs and streamlined procedures.
Securematics: Pano Logic, the leader in zero client desktop virtualization and desktop in the cloud computing, has added Securematics as an authorized Pano Logic value-added distributor for North America.
“Pano Logic’s zero client computing technology eliminates the biggest vulnerability in the enterprise stack – access via the end user’s desktop endpoint,” said Brian Vincik, vice president and general manager, Securematics. “We built a strong reputation with our knowledge of security solutions and Pano Logic is a valuable new addition to our portfolio that’s easy for our resellers to understand, deploy and utilize.”
Tech Data: ADARA Networks, provider of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and cloud computing platforms, has deployed its production-level SDN systems within Tech Data’s Solutions Center, used to demonstrate production quality, emerging technologies and commercial solutions products to its VAR network and enterprise customers.
ADARA’s Full Stack Engine and SDN Solution will be featured in the Solutions Center, to help VARs and enterprise customers understand and utilize the capabilities of SDN technology. The ADARA solution was unveiled during the Tech Data Healthcare IT Solutions Pavilion open house on July 13, 2012.
