Cisco Snaps Up Pari Networks for NCCM, Compliance Expertise

Cisco Systems keeps growing, this time inorganically as it looks to acquire privately held Pari Networks, a company that specializes in network configuration and change management (NCCM) and compliance management solutions. The reason? Cisco thinks Pari’s technology will complement its smart service capabilities. Here are the details…

Cisco plans to assimilate Pari Networks’ technology into its own technology, giving Cisco network health monitoring capabilities, according to the release announcing the acquisition. Pari Networks employees will become part of Cisco Technical Services.

Cisco hasn’t disclosed any financial terms, but the acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of Cisco’s fiscal year 2011.

Recently, Cisco added to its smart services with Smart Storage and Smart Switching features in its new SMB appliance solutions.
