Channel Partner Program Roundup: Veeam, GeekSquad, eXalt
Howdy, and welcome to the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly collection of things channel-related. This week we’ve got some tasty morsels from Veeam Software, Best Buy’s GeekSquad and eXalt Solutions, so let’s get ready to chow down.
Veeam Software: The backup, replication and virtualization management solutions vendor announced updates and enhancements to its reseller program in North America, including additional margin and incentive opportunities, free technical and sales training and enhanced joint marketing support.
“Our goal is to invest in the partners who are willing to invest their time and energy in us, to our mutual benefit,” said Bill Botti, Veeam’s VP of North American Sales. “As a 100-percent channel-driven company that never sells directly to end users, we recognize that our partners are critical to our success and continued growth.”
Highlights of the new program include:
- Profitability: The new program offers increased margins based on partner tier levels, and additional profitability via deal registration and incentives for those eligible.
- Training: Technical and sales enablement training, including accreditations through Veeam University, are available at no charge to Veeam ProPartners.
- Marketing support: Veeam works closely with its top partners on joint marketing activities including email campaigns, webinars and other demand-generation events.
- Technical support: Veeam offers direct, expedited access to support resources to support optimal customer care and partner technical inquiries.
The Geek Squad Partner Program works with VARs and solution providers to provide services for their own customers in areas where they have no coverage or in areas where they lack expertise. VARs are able to offer their own customers Geek Squad services including Geek Squad Office Support unlimited 24/7 support and Geek Squad PC, mobile, networking and infrastructure support services. Service plans are designed to help customers with diagnostics and repair, client and server administration, and network integration, including network, firewall, VPN and server support as well as data backup and transfers.
eXalt Solutions: The company that bills itself the “market and technology leader in providing cloud-powered, Channel Sales Empowerment (CSE) solutions,” now offers a VAR version of its CSE Platform – CSE-VAR Cloud, a cloud-based, fully automated and blended cross-vendor quote solution. According to the company, the CSE-VAR Cloud increases a VAR’s sales velocity by 25 times, enabling them to easily attach their own services, and leading them to larger, more profitable sales in a fraction of the time.
eXalt’s Channel Sales Empowerment Platform makes multiple vendors look like one, as each vendor’s library and rule set is blended dynamically with others in one screen. CSE’s “goof-proof” rules engine ensures that only compatible, properly optimized solutions are offered as configuration choices. An entry-level sales rep can configure a large cross-vendor offering in as little as 15 minutes, according to the company.
