SafeNet: The IT security vendor has named Laurie Usewicz VP of Channel Sales. She joins the company following stints as VP of Channel Sales at Blue Coat Systems and various VP positions at Westcon Group. Her appointment follows the appointment of new CEO Dave Hansen.
Egenera: The cloud management and automation vendor is now part of EMC‘s (NYSE: EMC) Technology Partner Program. As part of the program, Egenera will be able to leverage EMC’s unified storage solutions to expand its portfolio of capabilities.
According to the company, the integration of Egenera’s product portfolio to standardize on EMC technology will further enable companies to build, manage and protect IT services running across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures.
En Pointe Technologies: The national solution provider has been named the partner of choice for deploying and implementing Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) System Center 2012 as part of its solutions offerings to customers across the West. En Pointe can help administrators manage their IT environments across traditional data centers, private and public clouds, client computers and devices, the company noted.
“We’re excited to be regional partner of choice for System Center, especially with the latest version’s enhancements and capabilities,” said Herb Hogue, VP of Professional Services & Data Center Practice at En Pointe Technologies. “We value our long standing relationship with Microsoft. Working directly with their team of professionals and product groups allows us to maintain a deep knowledge of System Center and remain ahead of the competition.”
